About Us

About the Society

The Society of Cardiovascular Academy is an organization comprised of medical professionals, including family physicians, cardiologist, internist, cardiovascular surgeons, nurses and technologists, who are involved in the treatment of supporting services to patients with cardiovascular diseases. Founded in 2007 and initially called the Cardiovascular Academy Society in 2014.

Aims and Objectives:

● Improving public awareness in cardiovascular health, and the advancement of quality standards to enhance patient care.

● Promote the education and activities relating to the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease through the development of cardiovascular health knowledge and practice.

● Convening scientific meetings and educational programs on a regional and international basis.

● To publish newsletter, magazines and journals on cardiovascular topics.

● Developing and maintaining an internal and external network, both nationally and internationally.

● Support and promote researches in the field of cardiovascular diseases.

To establish contacts and co-operations with national associations and societies and in other countries having objectives wholly or partly similar to those of our Association.

Digital Archiving

Wolters Kluwer Medknow provides for long-term digital preservation through two primary partnerships, Portico and CLOCKSS.

Portico is a leading digital preservation service worldwide. The content is preserved as an archival version and is not publically accessible via Portico, but is provided when required under specific conditions, such as discontinuation of the collection or catastrophic failure of the website.

CLOCKSS will enable any library to maintain their own archive of content from Wolters Kluwer Medknow and other publishers, with minimal technical effort and using cheaply available hardware.

Ahead of Print policy

Articles published online under the Ahead of Print model are considered published and can be cited and quoted using the DOI as the reference source. Wolters Kluwer Medknow has a policy that changes will not be made after publication of an article without following accepted procedures for making corrections to the scientific record.

Advertisements

While advertisements are crucial to this journal to be able to keep all content free for everyone, ethical considerations are in place to ensure the integrity of the journal and its content:

● "Pop-up" and "banner" ads appear on a random, rotating basis. The advertiser has no control or input over the pages where their ads appear.

● The Editorial Board has full and final approval over the content of all advertisements.

● Advertisers will never be shown any manuscripts or other content prior to publication.

Scope of the journal

International Journal of the Cardiovascular Academy (ISSN - Print: 2405-8181, Online: 2405-819X), a publication of Cardiovascular Academy Society, is a peer-reviewed print + online in the field of cardiology, diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. From 2015, every volume of this journal will consist of 4 issues. IJCA will publish original articles, review articles, case reports, letter to the editor and new techniques in cardiovascular research and disease therapy such as interventional cardiology, hypertension, cardiomyopathy, heart failure, arrhythmia and electrophysiology, acute and chronic coronary syndromes, peripheral arterial disease, congenital heart diseases , vascular biology, clinical pharmacology, valvular heart disease, pediatric cardiology and cardiovascular surgery.
